Frontier League XC at Eudora

Pioneer Ridge finished a successful season at the Frontier League Cross Country meet on Thursday October, 11th.  13 Jags secured medals.  The 7th and 8th grade boys teams both won league titles.  Three school records were broken by Sophia Pogue, Gracie Moorehouse, and Drake Taysom.  Carson Hughes became one of only three runners at PRMS to break the 12 minute two mile barrier by running 11:40.  Sophia Pogue broke Cassidy Greer's mark of 6:13.8 by running one mile in 6:06 for a 3rd place medal.  Gracie Moorehouse re-set her own school best mark by improving 10 seconds in the two mile race for a time of 13:36.  Drake Taysom ran a blistering 10:36 two mile and re-set his old school record by winning a gold medal at League and going undeafeated for back-to-back seasons.  What follows is a summary of the competition (Tonganoxie, Lexington Trails, and Basehor-Linwood are not in the Frontier League thus sometimes there are discrepancies between the "Eudora Meet" and the "Frontier League" result)...

Wheatridge XC Invitational 2013

11 Jaguars were in the medals at the WMS Invite.  The 7th grade boys team improved their record to 13-1 on the season by winning this contest.  The 8th grade boys team is now 14-0 after winning at Wheatridge.  The 8th grade girls were one runner short of fielding a team (their season record is now 1-3).  The 7th grade girls beat three teams and improved their season record to 4-7. The Jaguars kicked off the 2013 Cross Country season in great form.  8th grade boys team won this event and the 7th grade boys team placed second!  Nine Jags collected medals (Hagan Andrews, Asher Brown, Jacob Serrioz, Gracie Moorehouse, Jayme Morris, Drake Taysom, Rees Taylor, Carson Hughes, & Jaydon Wingfield).
