Frontier League XC at Eudora

Pioneer Ridge finished a successful season at the Frontier League Cross Country meet on Thursday October, 11th.  13 Jags secured medals.  The 7th and 8th grade boys teams both won league titles.  Three school records were broken by Sophia Pogue, Gracie Moorehouse, and Drake Taysom.  Carson Hughes became one of only three runners at PRMS to break the 12 minute two mile barrier by running 11:40.  Sophia Pogue broke Cassidy Greer's mark of 6:13.8 by running one mile in 6:06 for a 3rd place medal.  Gracie Moorehouse re-set her own school best mark by improving 10 seconds in the two mile race for a time of 13:36.  Drake Taysom ran a blistering 10:36 two mile and re-set his old school record by winning a gold medal at League and going undeafeated for back-to-back seasons.  What follows is a summary of the competition (Tonganoxie, Lexington Trails, and Basehor-Linwood are not in the Frontier League thus sometimes there are discrepancies between the "Eudora Meet" and the "Frontier League" result)...
