League Meet @ Eudora, Team Breakfast/Uniform Check in, and Practice Opportunity with GEHS

Our final meet of the year is Thursday at Eudora.  Please see the link below for more information, course maps, and a waiver for non-XC runners who want to participate in a fun run on Thursday.

Coach and I will have donuts and juice for the runners on Friday morning.  We will meet with the team in the forum at 7:15 AM to turn in uniforms and to share successes for the season.  I apologize for the early morning and for the quick turn around on washing uniforms, but coach and I start basketball practice on Monday so this is the only time available.

GEHS XC would like to invite all 7th and 8th grade runners to one of their Saturday morning practices.  This Saturday (October 6) from 9:00-10:15 they will meet at the Prairie Center (135th and Moonlight)  You can park in the parking lot right across the street from the church.  The GEHS XC team has had some great success and they are getting even stronger.  They would love for any and all runners to join them so they can get a better idea of what high school cross country looks like.  Parents are welcome to attend as well.  Please contact GEHS Assistant Cross Country Coach Walt Cochran at cochranw@usd231.com with any questions.

The Fall Sports Ceremony will take place in the PRMS gym on Friday, October 26 at 2:30.  Each runner will have their name read.  If a runner received a medal this season and/or ran for both years, they will receive a letter.  All other runners will receive a certificate.

Baldwin Meet - 9/29/18

Please see the link at the bottom for more information about Saturday's meet in Baldwin.  Please note the bus departure time.

Our home meet was an overwhelming success!  Every single runner set a new personal record. The Jags were led by Darby Savage who was just two seconds off of the school record.  She ran a blisteringly fast 6:08 mile.  She was one of six medal winners for the Jags.  She was joined by Kai Huffman, Ethan Short, Lily Godsil, Sarah Farrens, and Ken Morgan.

Four runners also made the PRMS Top 20 list.  Congratulations to Darby, Kai, Sarah, and Lily!  See the next blog posts for the PRMS Top 20 list.

Special thanks to Levi Short and Carli Vey for their help as course monitors!
